I don’t mean to complain, but could you put a post it on your monitor to help you to remember to say what size the pot should be? I have a smaller crock pot, and I sometimes buy the ingredients for a meal only to find out that it’s too much for my small crock pot to handle :( .

I don’t see the size of the crock pot on this recipe; but with all the liquids involved, I’m guessing it’s a 6 qt pot, right? I also wish you would say how many servings each recipe makes. I love the recipes, otherwise :) . They always seem healthy and tasty!

Melanie- I’m sure it would be just as tasty with Cream of Chicken soup.

Can anyone suggest a substitute for the wine? Think I could just use chicken stock?

  6. admin says:

Brenda, Yes, the wine is optional and you could substitute with chicken stalk.

Fabulous Receipe….I didn’t have white wine and used red instead and it was the hit of the week.

  8. @gail – Thanks for the feedback. I’m glad this recipe was such a hit with your family.

  9. Mel says:

Can I leave out the wine?

  10. admin says:

@Mel – You can certainly substitute the wine with chicken broth or water, but don’t just leave it out as the sauce may be too thick.

I just want to say that this is one of my fam’s new FAVORITES! I use salt free chicken broth in place of the wine. There are never and leftovers.

I have seen this recipe before and other reviews suggest adding fresh mushrooms. Has anyone tried that? How many mushrooms and at what point in the cooking process? I don’t want to mess up a tasty dish…

can you share some gluten free crock pot recipes???

I too made this for a large group. Instead of the crock pot, I cut up the chicken into bite size pieces and layed them all out on a cookie sheetpan. I mixed all of the ingredients together (cream sauce) and when chicken was done in like 20 minutes, I mixed them together, cooked the noodles and sprinkled a little parsley on top.
If you really want a blast, add a handful of fresh chopped basil and sliced button mushrooms, if you like mushrooms that is. It was soooo goood.
