Spaghetti Sauce with Chicken and Sausage
This is a very quick and easy spaghetti sauce to make in the crock pot.
What You Need
1 lb. Italian sausage links
3-4 boneless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 cup chopped green pepper
1 cup chopped onion
1-2 tsp. Italian seasoning
2 (4 oz. each) cans mushroom stems and pieces, drained
2 jars favorite spaghetti sauce
Hot cooked pasta
How To Make It
In skillet, brown the Italian sausage links, piercing the casings to allow excess fat to run out.
Remove to plate and cut into 1/2 to 1-inch pieces.
In same skillet, brown chicken pieces.
You can also sauté the pepper and onion a bit too, if you like.
Place sausage and chicken in medium sized crock pot and add the pepper and onion.
Sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
Add the mushrooms and pour the sauce over everything.
Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
Stir and serve over spaghetti or your favorite pasta.
